Research Interests:
Research interests include thematic interdisciplinary cross-cultural art education paradigms, pre-service teacher education and preparation, and pursuing and analyzing trends in art education in historical contexts.
Ann T. Christiansen was born in Utah and moved to Tallahassee with her husband
and children with her husband's acceptance of a position in the FSU COB Finance department; he now heads that department. FSU's Art Education department was one of the attractions in choosing Tallahassee as well as the family atmosphere of the town. Ann Christiansen earned her M.S. with a thesis focusing on creativity. After teaching in
public schools for over 20 years, she completed her Ph.D. Ann Christiansen serves in the department as support for the undergraduate art education teacher certification program and is currently involved in the national accreditation of that program under the College of Education.
