(Tuesday) 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Florida State University displays and festivities will return to the state capitol on Tuesday, February 2 from 10 a.m. to 2p.m., for this year’s FSU Day at the Capitol, which spotlights the extraordinary accomplishments of our students and faculty and pays tribute to the university’s proud heritage.
Several of the university’s colleges and academic departments will have displays and information tables set up on the first three floors of the Capitol throughout the event. The College of Fine Arts will have a table on the first floor beside the elevator banks. We hope you will drop by and visit with us!
The highlight of the day will be an outdoor pep rally from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the plaza between the old and new Capitols. It will feature remarks from President John Thrasher, recognition of FSU alumni serving in the Legislature and performances by the FSU Cheerleaders, members of the Flying High Circus and Seminole Sound, a pep band from the College of Music.
On the day before — Monday, Feb. 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. — Thrasher and the FSU Student Government Association will co-host a public reception, “Seminole Evening,” on the 22nd floor of the Capitol.
Fans are encouraged to wear garnet and gold apparel during the festivities.
