Museum Education Program Specialist/Living History OPS Job Opportunity (Open until Filled)

 

Mission San LuisThe primary responsibility for this position is to inform the public of the history of Mission San Luis through tours, programs, and daily “living history” interpretation. Such costumed “living history'” interpretation will include demonstrations of period crafts, skills, and chores while attired in 17th-century clothing. Training is available to all staff. This includes the history of Mission San Luis, interpretive techniques, working with people of all ages and abilities, etc. Additional responsibilities of this position will include assisting with day to day historic maintenance tasks, including program preparation and clean up, cleaning of exhibit areas, gardening, carpentry, opening and closing of reconstructed buildings, and other related tasks. As needed, incumbent will be prepared to conduct outreach programs and assist with visitor services. More info here.

Opening NightsThe Executive Director, Opening Nights Performing Arts (ONPA) directs all aspects of the organization by administering and implementing strategies that advance the organization through the presentation of world-class programming, dissemination of educational opportunities in the arts, and creation of meaningful community engagement while achieving annual revenue goals (earned and philanthropic). The Executive Director is responsible for the leadership, design, execution, strategy, supervision, and administration of the Opening Nights Performing Arts series at Florida State University. The position serves as the primary resource for professional arts presentation at the University and works collectively and collaboratively with University and community stakeholders on performances, events, and education endeavors on and off campus. More info here.
