Sara Scott Shields will be hosting a two hour informal workshop focused on getting a job in k-12 art education. With graduation pending student’s expressed interest in having a crash course refreshing their memory on all things job search related. We will focus on preparing materials for the upcoming job fair, fine tuning interview skills, developing an elevator speech (a quick overview of who you are and what you bring to the table), identifying job opportunities, and how to dress to impress. The workshop will close with a lesson plan exchange. The goal of the brown bag workshop is to ensure that every student leaves feeling confident and empowered about the job search process. Current and potential art education candidates are welcome to attend!
