Chinese Visiting Scholar Panpan Wang Studies with Department’s Dr. Pat Villeneuve

The Department of Art Education would like to give a warm welcome to Panpan Wang! Panpan is a visiting scholar from the Fine Arts College of Shanghai University. With the help of the Chinese Government, she is continuing work on her PhD at Florida State University for a year. This plan is called a Joint PhD Training in China. At FSU, Panpan will study under Dr. Pat Villeneuve while conducting research related to art and museum education.

Visiting Scholar Panpan Wang

Panpan Wang earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from Henan Normal University in China in 2013. She then went on to work at Henan Polytechnic University in China teaching student design basic training.

 

While working on her master’s degree, Panpan’s work was published in a variety of scholarly journals. Some include:

  •  “A Case Study of the History of Art focuses on the significance of academic research and the creation of art. Its combination of science and art is the present reality of design history. The article explores the link between art appreciation and real-life, aesthetic education, and creative thinking.

  • “Based Communication Art Administration” was published in the 2012 issue of Journal of Grant Art
  • “How to Promote Chinese Traditional Handcraft to Western Children” was published in the 2012 issue of Journal of Overseas English
