The Department of Art Education welcomes you to join the Art Therapy Program and the FSU Art Therapy Association as they collaborate with the Florida Art Therapy Association in an upcoming art therapy symposium titled “Developing Leadership: Art Therapy Advocacy at Home and Abroad.”
The symposium will be held on February 3-5, 2018 in the William Johnston Building (WJB). With three days of events, the art therapy symposium offers a variety of workshops and events to facilitate discussion regarding the meanings of leadership locally and internationally within the field of art therapy. An opening reception will be held Saturday, February 3rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Centrale Pizza, Parm and Bar. The symposium will be held on Sunday, February 4th in WJB. Registration begins at 8:30am and a keynote address will be given by Wayne Ramirez, MFA, MS, ATR-R, art therapy pioneer and Wisconsin Art Therapy Association founding president and honorary life membership member. The symposium weekend will close out with a day at the Florida Capitol on Monday, February 5th.
