Leading the Future of Museum Education Conference Recap

FSU Arts Administration Director Pat Villeneuve and Assistant Professor of Arts Administration Ann Rowson Love has the pleasure of attending the Leading the Future of Museum Education: Challenges and Opportunities conference from May 27th to May 29th in Denver, Colorado.

The conference was presented by the Bank Street College’s Leadership in Museum Education in collaboration with the Education Professional Network (EdCom) of the American Alliance of Museums, the Clyfford Still Museum, History Colorado, The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and the Denver Art Museum.

Directors, managers, and academics of museum education departments convened to discuss the leadership challenges and opportunities facing the profession.  Conversation focused upon questions as to the key methods for leaders to redirect programs and resources, articulate public value of services, describe and measure success, expand leadership development, and ensure that access, learning, and engagement remain at the core of the institutional mission.
