November Kid Empowerment Day at The Plant

Published November 15, 2016

The Florida State University (FSU) Art Education Program is pairing up with The Plant to offer art classes to the community at a monthly event called Kid Empowerment Day. FSU Art Education students in the 5-year program will be working with Plant volunteers to design and offer art activities for all ages.

The November Kid Empowerment Day will take place on Saturday, November 19th, 2016, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at The Plant. The event will provide families with the opportunity to spend an afternoon engaging in an enjoyable, tactile, and creative art making experience reflecting the end of the fall season!

In order to support the art community events hosted by The Plant, a $1 donation per child will be requested at the door. Families are encouraged to bring snacks and refreshments, as well as smocks or work-shirts to participate in messier activities.

For questions regarding the November Kid Empowerment Day, please contact one of the hosts on the Facebook page of the event or email theplant.tally@gmail.com for more information.

Be mindful that Kid Empowerment Day is a monthly event with upcoming winter and spring dates on January 21st and February 18th, 2017! Mark your calendars and stay tuned for the rest of the Spring 2017 schedule.
