dr. sue KimThe Florida State University would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest adjunct Dr. Sue Kim. Dr. Kim obtained her MA in Art Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and her doctoral degree at the Pennsylvania State University, also in Art Education.

Dr. Kim is currently joining us to teach a research survey class for the Art Education program and will be sharing an office with Dr. Carolyn Brown-Treadon in the beautifully remodeled William Johnson Building.

Dr. Kim has extensive experience with elementary and primary school populations and has authored several publications related to children’s art and the communicative process of art making. Of particular interest, Dr. Kim published articles such as “A Review of Qualitative Research Methods in Studies on Child Art” and a “Historical Review of Research Methodology in Studies on Child Art”.

In addition to her vast contributions to the academic community, Kim also affiliates herself with both the Florida Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association. In acknowledgement and appreciation of her many accomplishments, it is with utmost esteem that we welcome her into our ranks.
