Melinda Russek is a graduate of Barron G. Collier High School in Naples, Florida and of the University of West Florida, with a Master’s degree in reading education. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in art education and art history at Florida State University, with a plan to complete her doctorate so she can pursue her passion for art, education, and museums. She is also an animal wrangler, writer, and photographer, but also a collector of scarves, rocks, seeds, books, coins, hats, gloves, and artifacts. She has been working as an educator for more than 10 years but is pleased to be teaching art. In addition to studying art, she is also an artist, with several submissions in magazines, art shows, and several galleries.
