Master’s Admission Requirements

The program accepts new students for fall semester only. Applicants for admission into the Master’s Museum Education and Exhibition Program should have:

  • An undergraduate major related to Art, Art Education, Arts Administration, or Performing Arts
  • Thirty (30) hours of Arts and/or Art Education coursework or relevant work experience in a cultural organization (Students may satisfy deficiencies upon acceptance into the program)
  • 3.0 average on a 4.0 scale during the last sixty (60) hours of undergraduate education
  • GRE percentile ranking of 55% on the Verbal and 25% on the Quantitative

Doctoral Admission Requirements

The program accepts new students for fall semester only.The Doctoral admissions requirements and procedures are subject to all regulations specified for graduate studies in the University’s Graduate Bulletin for the academic year in which the doctoral student first matriculates. To view the University’s Graduate Bulletin, see FSU Grad Bulletin. Additionally, admission requirements include:

  • Achieving a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, earning a Master’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Meeting a percentile ranking of 55% on the Verbal and 25% on the Quantitative portions on the GRE
  • Earning a Bachelor degree from a nationally accredited college or university in art, art education or related fields (students may satisfy deficiencies upon admissions into the program)
  • Be in good standing in the institution of higher education last attended

Tuition Information

Florida State University is a member of the SREB Academic Common Market. Academic Common Market can be obtained under the application for Arts Administration. Tuition rates for current students are available through the Student Business Services office. For students receiving tuition waivers it should be noted that these waivers cover the cost of tuition, leaving the cost of student fees (Facility Use, Parking, Building Fee, etc…) the responsibility of the student.
