Graduate Offerings
MS in Art Therapy
A residential, 3-year program that prepares students to enter the field.The FSU program provides graduates with a master’s degree in art therapy which is designed to prepare art therapists who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills) and affective (behavior learning domains) to enter the profession. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health and Education Programs (CAAHEP).
Ph.D. major in Art Therapy Research & Practice
The doctoral degree is for individuals interested in high level scholarly research.The purpose of the Ph. D. in Art Education with a major in Art Therapy Research and Practice is to encourage students to make significant contributions to the body of knowledge related to art therapy.

Institute for Arts & Art Therapy with the Imprisoned (AATI)

AATI is directed by Dr. Dave Gussak, and is dedicated to creating opportunities for incarcerated individuals around the globe to engage with the arts. Through programs across the US and by engaging with partners and collaborating agencies around the world, AATI is excited to extend its reach and partner with mental health practitioners, artists, students and carceral institutions to expand access to art and art therapy.
