Arts Administration

Arts administration is the dynamic study of integrating nonprofit leadership, social innovation, and entrepreneurship across all types of arts and cultural organizations, and at FSU you’ll study it in a proven pioneer program. Among the earliest in the country, we’ve helped shape the field for decades with a curriculum grounded in both theory and practice.   • MA in Arts Administration (Online)
    A flexible program for working professionals

    The MA in Arts Administration is an online program that is designed with working professionals in mind, offering students the opportunity to study with FSU’s world-class faculty while continuing their work and furthering their careers in museums, orchestras, theaters or other arts institutions—throughout Florida and around the world.

    An immersive program for recent graduates, career changers, and international students.

    The residential MA in Arts Administration was designed with working professionals in mind, offering students the opportunity to study with FSU’s world-class faculty while continuing their work and furthering their careers in museums, orchestras, theaters or other arts institutions—throughout Florida and around the world.

    The doctoral degree option is for individuals interested in a high level of scholarly research.

    The purpose of the Ph. D. in Art Education with a major in Arts Administration is to encourage students to make significant contributions to the body of knowledge related to arts administration.

Institutional Partnerships

In 2025, following a competitive application and review process, Social Theory, Politics, and the Arts established an institutional partnership with Florida State University’s College of Fine Arts. The Arts Administration faculty and graduate students are key participants in facilitating this partnership.
